I drive tuned Cerbera to a Win in the Real Grand Valley 300

So after setting a reasonable time in my unofficial "tuned" Grand Valley 300, I observed that the Cerbera could still do with some more tuning, and felt that that, together with the practice obtained from the other race, would allow me to win the real Grand Valley 300 with a tuned Cerbera, making it the second tuned car I did that with.

   Game: main
   Day: 5413
   Date: October 28, 2000
Race: Grand Valley 300KM Endurance Race

                      (16out) 1:46.300

Whoohoo! Whoohoo! Whooohoo!

What a blast! I won cleanly. Compared to the previous race, my tires lasted longer, allowing me to take one fewer pitstop, but even without that advantage I still should have won.

After the start, I moved cautiously up in the first part of the first lap, actually getting to fourth as I went by the NSX which had one of its not atypical first-lap spinouts on the run from the first to the second hairpin.

I got to 3rd past the Impreza at the final dual hairpins, and then 2nd on the exit, but jostled a bit, taking advantage of the fact that one can corner faster off the side of the AI cars. 8-)

I was then chasing the Skyline, but I got the lead by the end of lap 2, and after that drew ahead.

At my first stop I kept my lead, so the race was clear sailing from then on. At the end of my second stop I observed the clock to read 50:20, so I was well under the 1-41 pace, let alone 1-42.

Laps 42 and 43 were very bad--on one of them I hit that silly fence as I entered the half tunnel near the end.

I had lapped the Impreza before stop 3, but it then stayed close behind me and unlapped itself temporarily while I was in the pits.

I had the rest of the field in sight by the finish, but did not lap any other cars.

I won Cr300,000, and a black/green Castrol Supra GT.

Once again I actually recorded all lap times, as follows:

Lucky you! 8-)

Actual total count was 005C418F, or 6046095 thousandths of seconds, which matches.

[A year-and-a-half later and I have now found and corrected the mistake which had previously made me .090 seconds short; I had recorded lap 40 here as 1:40.457, but my paper records had the correct 1:40.547--GT2XS 2002Apr21]

Here are the settings I used. I sure took a long time tweaking them. 8-) I find this car almost impossible to spin out, so you might want to consider using these settings.
